The playground replaces the park’s aging and non-ADA compliant toddler playground. Nearby there is an existing playground designed for older children.
The $125,000 toddler playground project is one of three the Kiwanis Club of Los Rancheros (also known as the Rancho Bernardo Kiwanis Club) undertook to celebrate its international parent organization’s 100th anniversary. With an organizational focus on children, Kiwanian Julie Sleeper said the RB club wanted to do something for children in the community. She was chairwoman of the playground committee.
Both of these playgrounds are completely surrounded by a gated fence. All playground equipment is surrounded completely by State certified safety zone. All playgrounds meet State and National safety guidelines. All of our children have plenty of space to develop physically while outside. Our infant and toddler playground is very large with a park like setting mostly under mature trees.
You will find huge toddler playgrounds for gardens, just like this one in the picture, that fits up to 15 kids playing together, and also small toddler slides, climbers and swings for indoors or outdoors.
